Should I start using anti-aging creams as a teen?
Slayerslut666 asked:
I’m 17, and I do a lot to take care of my face/skin/body. SPF 85+, moisturizer and lotion every day – I want to be healthy and I also want to look good when I’m older. I’ve been doing this routine for a couple years, but I was wondering if it would be a good idea to add an anti-aging serum, because I read that those are most effective if started at a young age. Should I add this? Why or why not? Is what I’ve been doing effective enough?

Enjoy the time when you’re younger. You will come across this stage sooner or later, but really truly, I think that you should enjoy your life when you are still young.

YES!!!! I am 19 and started using it when I was 18! I use night creams! It won’t hurt us so go for it! My Mom has bad wrinkles so I want to MAKE SURE I don’t get any when I am older so that is the main reason why I started young!
And to the first person who responded…what does “enjoy life now” have to do with anything? Applying anti-aging cream/serum only takes a few minutes at night!
Good luck!

The best thing you can do now is continue to use sunblock. It also helps to avoid certain habits such as smoking. Too much sugar has been linked to wrinkle formation. So eating a healthy, balanced diet is beneficial for your skin in the long run too.

I wish I would have started when I was that young! YES it is a good idea. If you want to beat aging, it is good to keep your skin well moisturized and elastic. I don’t know what you are using right now, but more than likely it is a combination of products. I found a great product – Lifecell – that combines the ingredients that fight aging, with moisturizers and protein building ingredients as well. Now that I go with just one product, you would not BELIEVE how much space I have on my counter!
