I keep hearing about resveratrol. Has anyone ever tried it with their diet? Does it work? What kind of stuff did you eat? Did you work out more?

I drink half a glass of pinot noir every evening. I sip the wine, holding each sip in my mouth until it dissolves. Resveratrol can be absorbed through the mouth (through the cheeks and under the tongue), but if you just gulp it down, it gets destroyed by stomach acid.

But one does worry about little alcohol soldiers marching about and slaughtering brain cells if one should, say, occasionally laugh gleefully and down not one, but two in a row of those extra-sized McGlasses of plonk. Is there any basis for worrying like an old lady about it?
